About Astera

Astera is a contextual world data platform built by Harrow Point Software. It aggregates environmental data from multiple providers and delivers a single unified WorldState for any location on Earth — answered questions, not raw numbers.

Instead of calling five different APIs and building your own normalisation layer, you call Astera once and get weather, marine conditions, astronomy, air quality, flood risk, and scored activity recommendations in a single response.

Data sources

Astera normalises data from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (met.no), OpenStreetMap Nominatim, WAQI, the UK Environment Agency, NOAA, WorldTides, and Open-Meteo Marine. Providers are abstracted behind stable Astera interfaces — they can change without affecting your integration.
